Welcome to a site full of Tolkien Humour


We suppose, that you are bored with sites as similar as brother and sister which contain the same pictures from the movie, the same Winamp skins and the same descriptions of Elves and hobbits. This site will be a little bit different .
You will find here mostly Tolkien fanfiction (We are Tolkien fans, and that site is our fiction) and a quite big dose of humor, which is connected with works of Master. As you can see there is a lot of a grey-blue colour. Grey is the colour of Aragorn eyes, which are looking at Arwen, and blue is for me colour of hope, so we hope we will surprise you somehow (of course only positively). And what? That you are sad today? So that's even better cause funny contents of site will present better.

J. R. R. Tolkien had a great sense of humour, what can be proved by each attentive reader of his books. You can find out that in a quotation up of the page. (I will change the quotation, cause I don't want to make you bored.) Each way starts from a first click. So click resolutely and may the Force be with you.

A story of the site:

13th April 2002. Our Tolkien humor site - The Prancing Balrog - appears on the net.
27th June. Radical rebuilding of the site.
22nd December. Black Sunday... 'because of exceeding transfer limit ' the site stops working ... I 've started to seek a new house for balrog ..
29th December. Moving to Endore ... nice to be in such a good place, together with such sites like Minas Tirith or Silmarillion.
31st December 2002. The Prancing Balrog rises like Phoenix from ashes. Humor wins.
11th January. Thanks to Adan, who besides giving to us some materials (from time to time) will be our new administrator of the site.
16-17th January. We have started translating our site into English.
20th March - quite a long from the last time... You can find some new pictures in Found on the Net (Galley)
13th April. Our site is one year old... New pictures in Found on the net and one picture in Humour from the Net (Galley)
16th June. A few new pictures added to The Galley .
9th July. Letters of Frodo to Bilbo transtated (Short Stories). Thanks to Perdita Dream.
14th July. The first play of Adiemus,Sauron's Misfortunes, translated by Adan (Theatre).
